Delusional? Mad? Psychopath? Just plain bad.

Castro’s sentence is underway and it’s a horrid wander through the darkness of civilisation. Saying that “I am not a monster,” conceeding that “I amd sick” and that he has “sexual problems” that made him impulsive, he offered up a dreadful set of statements full of avoiding responsibility and portraying his own behaviour as consensual, non-violent and something other than what has been portrayed.

This rationalisation of criminality is a hallmark of the kind of case he is in. But the real question is how do you get to the point that you represent your case in quite so bad, quite so appalling a fashion on a sentence. This is NOT the way to go about it.
