Analogue Television Switched Off in Sydney as of Today

Today marks the end of an era with all analogue television signals as of today have been turned off in Sydney. All Free-To-Air television in metropolitan areas is now broadcasted on digital frequencies. Some regional areas will still rely upon analogue signal for a limited amount of time.


The now unused analogue frequencies will soon be used as frequencies for the broadcasting of 4G telephone signal by Telstra and Optus.
